"day by daaaaaayyyyy, day by daaaaayyyyy, Oh, dear Lord, three things I praaaayyyy..." goes the song from Godspell. Love that song!  While is seems very easy and straightforward, I sometimes have trouble with the day by day stuff.  Do you know what I mean?

If you have read my blog at all, you can tell that I am usually an organized and disciplined man.... most of the time.  I hope you don't mind my transparency, but my aim is to help myself and others on our journeys with God.

As I read the Old Testament, I see myself. Israel would follow God and overcome any obstacles during those periods. Israel would wander and stuff would fall apart!  Oh the torture of the day by day!  LOL It is easy to fall into a stale pattern of thinking we are following God when we are really only going through the motions. 

What do we do? I try by setting a simple plan for each day. Build habits. Being human beings, we can fall out of good and bad habits so we have to be diligent. Seeking God's direction each day is a risky, exciting venture. We can do this. Day by day.
