Day 2 was our first full day in the city. We had a relaxing time of shopping and spending time with friends. We started the day out slowly since we were out late the night before. Breakfast at the little diner across the street from our hotel had great food. We will visit there again, I am sure. We picked up some stuff from Walgreens after breakfast, then headed back to the hotel to get ready for the day. This Wasgreens had some great SF souvenirs at cheap prices! Woohooo
I met a cute guy that worked at the Starbucks near our hotel. The funny thing is that I saw him at the Lone Star bar later that evening!
We walked around Union Squarevisiting the stores and doing a little shopping. The most impressive thing was the rotunda at the Nieman-Marcus store. Wow! The best friend took me to a nice lunch in the restaurant under the rotunda. Very, very nice.
We met up with some friends at Lone Star in the early evening. The place was PACKED! The back patio was wall-to-wall with bears! It was fun just to work your way through the crowd! The best friend met up with his friends. My buddy showed up later, then we walked over to the Eagle, which is three blocks away. It was a very different crowd than what I expected. Great for people watching! We stayed for a little while, then went to my friend's apartment to hang out. We played with his cute dog, Joey, and watched "Another Gay Movie" on DVD. Never seen that one before!
After a long day of relaxing, we collapsed back at the hotel. We had some unpleasant things happen on the street car on the way back to the hotel, We will probably avoid the public transportation at night from now on. No one was hurt, just lots of yelling at one point and some kids tried to pick our pockets! Yikes! Oh well. We are starting our adventures for this day. I will tell you about them tomorrow! Here are some more pics from day 2:
