God knows...

Our Daily Bread
One of the mysteries of God that I discussed with friends when I was young was the idea that God knows each of us and knows what our lives will be like. What? Some translations of the Bible imply (at least to us) that God predestined each of us to the lives we live. It sounds like God uses us as puppets in his grand scheme. NOT!!! While God knows the paths that each of us will take, he does not predestine us to those paths. I can't imagine knowing all of that information. Being a computer geek, I can't imagine how large his people database is! hehehe

The thing we should remember from today's devotional is that God is an awesome God. The Bible is not even the tip of the iceberg in describing God. From creation, he has known us and has loved us. How cool is that?

Lord, thank you for knowing me and loving me any way. You know all of my secrets and all of my needs. Thank you...

iTunes Tuesday
Not much on the iTunes front this week. I noticed that Susan Boyle has a new Christmas album. Go with what sells, Susan! I listened to a few sample tracks. She has some nice tracks. Check it out.

I ordered some new contemporary Christian CDs this week to add to my collection. I enjoy listening to these songs when I drive to work. I am a little tired of the two albums I currently listen to. I found some deals on Amazon.com. I will rip those CDs into my iTunes when I receive them.

Iron Man 2 comes out on DVD today. Woohoooo! It had some cool moments in it.

Other Stuff
Please know that God does work in mysterious ways. Reconciliation and grace are wonderful things. Trusting God, something that sounds very easy to do, is not always easy. As I read the Bible and remember stories from previous studies, I see how humans have doubted God over and over and how God has come through over and over again by fulfilling his promises.

I am looking forward to staying home for a while. I need to get some things done around the house. I have to work overtime for a while. I have to keep up with my Disciple 2 Bible studies. Hang in there, everyone. God believes in you. I believe in you.
