Reading the Old Testament can be difficult at times. I have an especially difficult time with the concept of animal sacrifice. It seemed like such a waste of life in a society where animals were especially important. 

I think about how the animal was "all in". It had to sacrifice its life for the act. 

Today we are called to sacrifice our lives. To be "all in". The amazing part is that we don't have to physically die. Our sacrifice results in a fuller, more meaningful life than we could ever have imagined. 

Let's pray for each other to be "all in" all the time!
