Daily battle prayer

Our Daily Bread
I find inspiration at times in the silliest of places.  In the songs and characters from Don Quixote.  In the songs and characters in Monty Python and the Holy Grail (show and movie).  The fake battles and enemies can offer some insight into daily life!

I liked the devotional today.  So many times we wander off into our daily battles with life only to have our butts handed to us in defeat!  Yikes!  We have no plan.  We have to strength because we did not consult God before we started.  We need to rely on God for every breath in every minute of our lives.  I didn't really understand that for many years.  Here is a little prayer from the Our Daily Bread devotional for today.  Let's say it together each day before we go out to "battle":

Dear Lord, before I go off into the battle today,

forgive me of my sin and lead me in the path You
want me to go. I want to serve You. Empower me
to live for You and Your will. Amen.

Technology Thursday
New toy
I have a nephew that is into computer stuff as much as I am.  We both read about the cheap computer called a Raspberry Pi.  Here is a short description from the web site:
The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video.

I found them in stock a few weeks ago and ordered two of them to play with.  I am not sure what I will do with them yet, but it will be fun playing with them!  Here is a picture of one:

That is the actual size.  You have to add storage (an SD card) and other peripherals like a USB hub for a keyboard and mouse.  It also has interfaces like HDMI output for video!  I will write more as I get time to play with it.

Let go, my friends!  God will be there to catch you and hold you in his loving arms!
