Directions

Our Daily Bread
I haven't said it for a while, but I am always amazed with the Our Daily Bread site has just the right devotional for me at the time!  It is like they are looking in a crystal ball and seeing what I need to hear before they write it!  We all know it is the Holy Spirit that does the leading, not a crystal ball.  It still amazes me how God good is!

I am like the guy in the devotional -- I don't like to ask for directions.  I have gotten better over the years as I use the maps app on my phone a lot.  I also purchased a GPS unit for my car since I don't always like using my phone for directions.  The GPS unit was a great deal at Costco, but I digress!  ;-)  I can also relate to the stubbornness of trying to live my life by my own GPS instead of God's direction.  It causes me so much angst and needless suffering when I go it alone.

How about you?  Can we let God lead?

Lord, thank you for being our life GPS if we will just let you!

Movie Monday
I didn't have a chance to see a movie at the theater this week.  I relaxed at home and watched Universal Soldier on Bluray.  I bought the disk for $6 the weekend after Thanksgiving!  Woohooo!  I liked this movie for several reasons, not the least is seeing hunky men scantily clad!  I liked the plot as well.  Van Damme and Lundgren make a great good vs evil conflict!  If you haven't seen it for a while, rent it.  It is still pretty good!

I give this movie two bear paws.  Only available for rent or purchase.

Let go, my friends!  God will be there to catch you and hold you in his loving arms!
