Our Daily Bread
I was in a discussion recently where we discussed the 1% vs the poor folks in America. Someone chimed in that there shouldn't be a 1% at all. Personally, I thought that sounded like socialism, not Christianity (as demonstrated by the early church). I said that our Lord mentioned we would always have the poor with us. We just need to do a better job of providing for them!
That is the point of today's devotional -- we can't love without giving. We can't honestly stand up in church to read the scriptures or sing the songs without living those words! I know I need to do a better job!
Lord, thank you for your love. Please help us show it by helping those less fortunate.
Teaching Tuesday
I didn't take the time to read my lesson this week since I was not going to be in class tonight. It is supposed to be about the second part of the Exodus storry and the Law. Should be cool when I read it.
I learned some stuff about myself this weekend. God also used a new friend in my life to reinforce some things in my silly brain. I will see what happens next!
********************************
Let go, my friends! God will be there to catch you and hold you in his loving arms!
