Our Daily Bread
I hope you can answer "yes" to this question: Have you ever had a moment when you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that God was in the room or around you? It doesn't have to be at church. It could be at home or at the hospital or out in nature. Yes, it is an amazing feeling, but so much more than just a feeling!
The devotional uses the phrase "moment of grace" to not only describe a church service, but also the birth of Jesus. His birth was a moment of grace for all those around the event. They HAD to tell others about it after they went back to their normal lives.
Yes, we all know that this season is about giving. It is also about a moment of grace in time that we must tell others about after we go back to our normal lives!
Lord, thank you for the most important moment of grace of all -- the birth of your Son! Please help us to tell others!
Movie Monday
I did not get a chance to go to the movies last week. Very busy week! I took time to relax and watch a bluray on Saturday. I found a cheap bluray disk of Pulp Fiction. Oh boy... I was not as traumatized by it as I was eighteen years ago when it first came out. I can understand the film better now that I have seen several other Quentin Tarantino movies over the years. The movie was shocking when I watched it on Saturday. I still remember how shocked and embarrassed I was when I saw it with a priest friend when it first came out.
I know this film is a cult classic, but I will only give it two bear paws. It will probably come out at the theaters again in 2014 for its 20th anniversary. If not, rent it or watch the disk.

We too can know this God and be assured of His presence. He has revealed Himself in His creation and in His Word. As we ask Him to make Himself known to us, we’ll learn that He is even more than the owner and creator of everything! - Our Daily Bread web site
