Our Daily Bread
I am sure someone special to you has dragged you to a dopey romantic movie where one character with tears in his eyes says "I don't matter to you at all, do I?" Tears...and not just on the screen!
I am not sure everyone has felt this way at least once in their lives or not. I know I have. During times like this, I remember scripture passages about how much God loves us. Have you ever really thought about it? We matter to the God who made the ENTIRE UNIVERSE! WOW! OMG! Or, as I start to create new slang like TYG! Thank you God! Yes! I know sometimes it is hard to keep this in mind when we are tired or lonely or thinking about someone we care about. God is there for us during those times as well. He is there. Will you call on him today?
Lord, Thank you for being mindful of us. Please help us to always be mindful and thankful.

I am using one of the things I am seeing at Universal Studios Hollywood today as the them of my blog entry. Let's talk about the Transformers! ;-)
We want to be Autobots. These are the good guys. They usually do the right thing even though they can be a little ornery at times! I think that is the way God sort of intended us to be -- good inside and out. He transforms us into better people (vs better machines). Notice I said "instead of machines". Some folks think that we have no "free will". God pre-destined each of us to be who we are and do what we do. I don't think so. I will write about my beliefs some other time.
Too many times, we give in to our human nature and act like Decepticons. Those are the bad robots that sort of look cool when they are common trucks and cars and stuff. We can be like that, even as Christians. We can look fine and sort of Godly on the outside, but we transform at times into the evil charac ter. I nicknamed my character "MegaJerk" (instead of Megatron). Yes, I can be that way. I hate to admit it, but I have to be honest when writing stuff like this.
So God is trying to make us all into real, Godly humans. We are not bots of any kind. We have a choice in how we act. We are not perfect. With God's help, we can act more like Jesus more and more each day. That would be cool!
