Perspective

Our Daily Bread
People can look at things from a different perspective.  I know I do.  I look at computers as exciting and fun.  Friends look at computers as daunting and a little scary.  It is a matter of perspective.

We can be the same way with our spiritual lives.  We often look at the things in our lives and say "This is bad.  God, why am I going through this?".  It is easy for us to judge by the criteria we know best -- our own!  God tries to teach us over and over that his criteria should be used and only he should be doing the judging.  Yikes!  I guess I would have time to be more loving and pray more and serve more if I gave up my judging time!  ha!

Lord, thank you for helping us see things in your perspective, in your time.

Foodie Friday
I combined a tried and true recipe with a new taste I had at work.  A friend brought in brownies made with a pretzel crust on the bottom.  I decided to try that crust with my four layer pudding dessert.  Here is what I came up with:


FOUR LAYER CHOCOLATE PUDDING DESSERT with pretzel crust
Crust
2 cups crushed pretzels (make sure they have salt on them)
3/4 cup butter, melted
3 tablespoons sugar

Layers
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 cup Cool Whip
1 small pkg. instant chocolate pudding
1 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding (or white chocolate works, too)
4 cups milk, divided

1. In a small bowl, combine the pretzels, butter and sugar. Press into an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
2. Combine cream cheese and powdered sugar until well blended. Fold in the Cool Whip. Spread over the crust and chill.
3. Prepare chocolate pudding as directed on pkg. Spread over cream cheese layer. Chill completely.
4. Prepare vanilla pudding as directed on pkg. Pour over chocolate pudding. Chill completely.
5. Spread additional Cool Whip over top.  Chill.
