Inclusive

Our Daily Bread
Have you ever looked at all the perfect people that grace the pages of magazine ads?  So many pretty women and handsome men displaying products for us to desire and buy because a "beautiful person" uses them.  I have never been very influenced by those ads.  I guess it is the geek in me that must research each product, price, etc.  ;-p

The people at Qumram would seemingly be very influenced by "beautiful people" ads.  They only invited folks "without blemish" to their events.  Jesus blew that strategy out of the water with his instructions to invite the folks that can't return the favor to your home.  How many of us do that?  It is something to think about and pray about!

Lord, thank you for being inclusive in your love and not only loving the "beautiful people"!

Foodie Friday
I have been researching macaroni and cheese recipes.  I guess it is because of winter time and the need for comfort food!  Here is one of the recipes I plan to make soon.

Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese
Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese

12 servings.Ingredients
Cooking spray
8 ounces cooked elbow macaroni
One 12-ounce can evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup (1/2 stick ) of butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
2 large eggs, beaten
Two 10-ounce bricks sharp Cheddar cheese, grated (about 5 cups)
Dash of paprika

Directions
In a large 4-quart slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray, mix the macaroni, evaporated milk, milk, butter, salt, pepper, eggs and all but 1/2 cup of the grated cheese. Sprinkle the reserved cheese over the top of the mixture and then sprinkle with paprika. Cover and cook on low heat for 3 hours and 15 minutes. Turn off the slow cooker, stir the mixture and serve hot.

Cook's Note: If you don't have a slow cooker, grease a 9-by-13-by-2-inch pan with butter, add the mixture and bake at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes.

Let go, my friends!  God will be there to catch you and hold you in his loving arms!
