Wedding day

Our Daily Bread
A close friend went to his first gay wedding last weekend.  It was weird to him, but he was very happy for his friends, the lesbian couple who tied the knot after being together for decades.  We discussed what a wedding would be like for us if either of us ever got married.  It was an interesting discussion!

Another interesting discussion is the description of the marriage of the Lamb and the church when we are called to heaven.  I don't really understand all the details of these passages, but I do understand the overall theme.  It is to "be ready".  Do everything you can to be ready for the judgment day.  Be ready for whatever happens after Jesus comes to earth so we can offer up our lives as a holy sacrifice to God.  What are we doing about that...today?  Think about it and pray about it with me!

Lord, we want to present ourselves to you as a holy sacrifice, ready for whatever comes in the life ahead!
