How many of us get so caught up in the preparation for Christmas with the shopping, cooking and decorating that we forget the joyous aspect of the season? There are so many mentions of joy in the Christmas story. Not just joy, but GREAT joy! Joy squared or cubed or to infinity! Let us focus on the joy of the season. The reason for the season!
Lord, thank you for the gift of your Son! Please help us to focus on the joy of the season and praise your Holy Name!

Five more tech shopping days until Christmas! There are two main times to buy technology -- Getting ready for school in the late summer and during the Christmas holidays. Even if you missed the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, there are lots of special deals to be found. Check out your favorite store or web site to get the best deals.
If you are looking for an iPad or other tablet, don't forget to check stores like Target and Walmart for special deals as well. They may not discount the device, but they can offer store gift cards that add up to a nice discount if you shop at that store regularly. For places like Best Buy, use the gift card at a later trip to buy accessories like a case, screen cover, etc.
Looking for a new phone? Check your favorite carrier's web site for daily deals. There are lot of them out there. Walmart, Target and Best Buy have some really good deals as well. Late model phones are heavily discounted with a new 2 year contract. You also have some options for no contract phones as well.
