Our Daily Bread
I was a camp counselor several times in my high school and college years. It was always interesting working with kids at camp! I remember so many kids that just didn't seem to fit in. Church camp was a place where they had a great chance of making friends and being a part of something special. I used to take them aside and say "It is your choice whether or not to participate. You are welcome in this group. We want you to be a part of us" That simple talk changed the entire outlook of those kids.
God sent his Son, Jesus, to be our ultimate camp counselor. The Counselor, the Mighty God, King of Kings. He taught us that we have a choice whether or not to participate. God wants us to be a participant. It is mind-boggling to thing of how many lives Christ has changed! May the Lord be with us!

UPS
No, not that UPS. I mean Uninterruptible Power Supplies. I looked at these last week after I had a brief power blip that turned off my home network. The blip didn't cause my laptop, monitors, etc to go down, just my network switch. The network switch carries the wired connections to my wifi router that carries connections to my Internet router. Complicated, but it serves my needs.
A UPS provides a temporary battery backup for sensitive electronic equipment such as computers, monitors, networking equipment, etc. They usually come with software to install on your computer for the computer to take advantage of the device. UPS devices (or sometimes systems) come in all shapes, sizes and costs.
Here is the one I bought for my network: APC Network Battery Backup with USB Charging Ports (BGE90M) This device is a lower powered device made specifically for home networks. My home network is my lifeline to my job. It must be up all the time! The UPS will guarantee the home network will stay functional for a few hours if my power is out that long or prevents an outage from the temporary blips that I see at my home.
Do you need a UPS at your home? Think about it before you buy one. They can be expensive, complicated and require maintenance. I started small with mine. I will evaluate if I want to grow my UPS "farm" LOL
