Alone or Not Alone

I was led to the Jesus Calling devotional this morning. I had a theme of "Alone" that I was led to yesterday. The devotional went right along with that theme! God works in mysterious way!

I think there is a difference between being alone and being lonely.  The dictionary backs me up on that statement!  Yes, we can be alone and not be lonely.  The sad thing is that some folks who are not alone feel lonely! That is miserable, I know!

The solution to being alone and avoiding loneliness? The devotional talks about seeking God all throughout the day. Not just in bad times. All day, every day. Stay in tune. Stay open. God will remind you of his love and presence. I can testify to this over and over and over.

In my opinion, being alone helps us focus more completely on God. Be sure to take some alone time if at all possible.  May the Lord be with us!
