Is this going to be on the test?

I had a professor in college that sort of a character ( in a good way).  We could joke back and forth about things during the class.  I learned a lot from him.  One of my jokes was this scenario: we would discuss a difficult topic in class, I would ask "Is this going to be on the test?", and he would reply "If it is important, then you will be tested on it!".

Life in Christ is very similar.  We read the Bible and learn how we are supposed to act, think and love.  All of those things are very, very important, so doesn't it make sense that we will be tested on it?  ;-P  First, let me say that I don't believe that God tests us.  I believe that God allows us to be tested.  He allows the evil one to make things happen to us that challenges our faith and our beliefs in how God words.  It is up to us to study hard, learn the lessons and do the right things when we are tested.  As David did in the Psalms, we need to recognize that God is in control and he is worthy to be praised in all of life's ups and downs!

Lord, please help us praise you regardless of our circumstances!


Technology Thursday
Here are a few technology headlines for this week:

Google is trying to block the import and sale of Apple iPhone and iPad in the U.S.  I guess if you can't beat them, sue them.

Google releases low cost tablet  Yet another tablet labeled as an "iPad killer".  The $199 device, sounds like a Kindle Fire doesn't it, will be available in mid-July in four countries.  You can preorder now at the Google store.  The specs look impressive.  We will see how it performs.

Samsung Galaxy S III This is the hot phone for summer.  So hot you may not be able to get one for a few months!  The preorders are backed up right now.  Samsung predicted selling ten million of these babies in the next month or two!
