Our Daily Bread
Music speaks to me. After reading today's devotional, two songs came to mind: Still, still, still (the beautiful Christmas carol) and Be Still my Soul by Russ Taft.
The first talks about how still the night was when Christ was born. How still the animals were in the barn. Most of us don't know what having that kind of "still" around us is like!
The second song talks about the scripture passage from Psalm 46:10. Unfortunately, that kind of stillness either! It is much easier to think of stillness when we think of the God who is exalted above the nations being on our side!
