Honoring God

Our Daily Bread
Do you remember the promise you made to your bestest childhood friend about keeping a secret or the brotherly (or sisterly) bond you had between each other?  You honored the relationship is some way that was special to you at that tender age.  For me, it was something like giving my best marble or maybe the sacred blood brothers ceremony!

As got older, these things faded away.  How do we honor relationships now?  Specifically, how do we honor our relationship with God?  Do we serve Him?  Do we participate in a community of believers in a church?  Do we study His Word and hide His Word in our hearts?  Do we pray and seek a new, clean heart and steadfast mind?  Let us think and pray about these things today as we honor our relationship with God!

Lord, thank you for offering to have a relationship with each and every one of us.  Please help us do all we can to honor that relationship!

Foodie Friday
Some friends have been posting lots of dessert recipes on Facebook.  This one is similar to a recipe I have made before.  We called it seven layer dream dessert.  This recipe calls it sex in a pan.  Hmmmm.  No other comments about that!  Here is the recipe.
