Our Daily Bread
Some things are so obvious to folks and some folks are so oblivious to some things! ha! For example, this old bear struggled to open a new bottle of antacids one day. After watching me struggle, one of my coworkers said "Doesn't the top just twist off?" DOH! It was so obvious to him. To me -- no so much!
Walking our Christian lives can be the same way. There are so many things that seem obvious to us about what we should do and what we shouldn't do. Others don't give a second thought to what they do or say. Are we serving the same God? Well, yes, but each person can be in different places in their spiritual development. We are to love and support each other no matter where we are! The coolest thing to me is that one person can be strong in prayer, for example, and can help another who is not. That person is strong in teaching, so the person strong in prayer can learn from him! God works in wonderful ways!
Lord, thank you for sending your Spirit down to lead us and guide us and give us spiritual gifts. Please help us use them for you!
Teaching Tuesday
Did you know that Bible scholars think that Isaiah was written in three sections? I read that in my Bible study last year, however, the EFM chapters on Isaiah are much more in depth. What can be called "Second Isaiah", the books from 40 - 55, are thought to be written by a follower (or followers) of Isaiah that continued his stories past the destruction of Jerusalem into the restoration of Jerusalem. It is some interesting reading.
These chapters are also known for the "Servant Songs" where a "servant" is talked about in several ways. There is much debate on who exactly the servant is. Jesus? Cyrus? Israel? That is a question we will have to get answered in heaven!

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” John 11:40
