Have you ever been on a scavenger hunt or played your own version of Amazing Race? You get a list of silly things to collect or clues that lead you from place to place until you reach your destination. The latter is often confusing and frustrating til you find your way. It is also exciting to figure out where you are supposed to be and move on!
Do you see where I am going with this example? Too many Christians live there lives like a spiritual scavenger hunt. They seek to collect some fairly impossible things like many good works, service projects, serving at church, etc. There may or may not be a point. It is the way they live. It seems exciting but what happens when you complete your list? I suggest living our lives like an Amazing Spiritual Race! Sounds sort of like a Paul letter, doesn't it? The excitement of following God's leadership sounds MUCH more exciting that that TV show! Praise God!
Lord, we love you. Please help us live our lives like an Amazing Spiritual Race! Praise God!

Apple released iOS 7.1 this week. It has mostly bug fixes. I haven't read about any new features. Please be careful doing the upgrade. I upgraded my iPad with it attached to my computer. I had no issues. A friend upgraded hers over the air. She had issues that required the techs to reset her iPad. She lost a lot of pics. ;-(
There have been some leaks of the new Windows code. I am not sure if it is a fix pack for Windows 8 or 8.1. Keep an eye out for it if you use Windows 8.x
New phones are coming out. Yawn. hahaha We will see who comes up with the next great thing. Frankly, putting bigger and better cameras on phones may not be the must-have feature want (though it is handy).
If it hasn't been obvious the past few months, be careful online. If your credit card company offers special "online credit card" numbers to help protest your account, consider checking it out if you shop online a lot. I have one credit card with a relatively low credit limit that I use for online shopping. That is another strategy.
