Our Daily Bread
During a electicity outage in my little apartment, I teased a friend that this whole situation was biblical.  He was like "What"?  Of course.  "Ye shall receive power".  DOH!  hahaha  Talk about prooftexting!

Seriously, the Holy Spirit will descend on us and give us power to be God'w witnesses in this world.  Whether it be in our little corner of the world or wherever He chooses to send us.  He will give us power. The power that caught the attention of hundreds when the apostles received the Holy Spirit.  God doesn't call each of us to work these great miracles and signs.  He calls us to do the best we can wherever we are!

Lord, thank you for the power of the Holy Spirit to be bold for you!

Movie Monday
I saw three movies last week.  I am enjoying the $5 after work specials at AMC and the Groupon deals at Gateway Film Center!

Veronica Mars
This was a movie version continuation of the cult hit TV show.  Kristin Bell did a great job of recreating the role on the big screen.  The story line had its twists and turns.  The characters were interesting though I couldn't understand why she wanted to be with the old boyfriend. The new one was so much cuter! ha!  Oh well.  That is one mystery she will have to figure out!

I give this two bear paws.  A nice rental movie.  No pressing need to see it on the big screen.

Non Stop
This movie was sort of formulaic like so many of Liam Neeson's action movies.  It was enjoyable and suspenseful.  In short, Neeson plays a federal air marshall that is framed for a terrorist hijacking of a flight from NYC to London.  The frame up is classic.  He finally figures it all out and saves the day.

I give this one two bear paws.   A nice rental movie. No pressing need to see it on the big screen.

Divergent
I had a personal connection to this movie about a society that "weeds out" those who don't fit into their societal pigeonholes.  The main characters is someone who is "divergent" meaning someone who won't fit into just one category.  She is a free thinker; someone who can't be controlled.  Can you see how I related to this movie on a personal level?  ha!  I don't want to give too much of the story line away.  There are some surprises, but you have to be patient for them all to show themselves! BTW, the male lead is a total hottie!

I also give this movie two bear paws. A nice rental movie. No pressing need to see it on the big screen.
