I grew up differently than a lot of my friends. When someone says "Let's get together for coffee", I get out my phone (or calendar book back in the day) and say "OK, what day looks good for you?" ha! I am not sure if they said that just to be nice and didn't mean it or if they are not the high-performing, organized man I am! hahaha Oh well.
Folks like me might be tempted to use the same approach with the coming of Jesus. We get out our phone and ask "OK, Lord Jesus, what day and time looks for you?" Oh boy... Or even better, ask our Heavenly Father because Jesus told us that he doesn't even know the date and time! I still don't understand that whole thing, but I don't need to!
He is coming. The point is to live like he is coming today. Praise God!
Come, Lord Jesus, come. We will love you and serve you til that amazing day!
