ME!

Our Daily Bread
A friend had a tshirt with this graphic. ha!

The point of today's devotion is that God should be the center!  He already is even if we don't put it on a tshirt!  We all should strive each day to make him the center of our lives.  It is pretty simple!

Lord, we are to love you and love others.  We ask that your Holy Spirit lead us and guide us with the details!

Countryman: Living on the Border of the Holy
We are taking a two week break from our usual studies to read the book Living on the Border of Holy by Countryman.  I think we all agreed that this is not an easy book to read. It took me at least 2-3 hours to get into this book and another few hours to finish reading the first half (78 pages).  Wow!  While it was difficult to read with all the unusual imagery and language, I found several parts very meaningful.

The section talking about Jesus's priesthood was very moving.

The section about Jesus having the gift of parrhesia was very cool to me.  I have had that gift since I can remember.  I didn't know what it was called!

The imagery of the spiritual realm as a border country that feels both foreign and like our natural home was interesting as well.

Pick up the book on Amazon.com or your local Christian bookstore.
