Our Daily Bread
As I mentioned once or a hundred times in my blog, music speaks to me whether it be classical music, contemporary songs or hymns. One of my favorite hymns is Jesus Paid it All. Check out the lyrics here.
One of the reasons this hymn is a favorite is the inherent truth -- Jesus did pay it all for us. We owe all to him! There is nothing we can do to earn this salvation. There is nothing we can do on our own to reconcile our relationship with God. Please remember this when you fall into the trap of doing too much or being a certain way to EARN your salvation. Ain't gonna happen! We are to do and live our lives to thank him, priase him and bring others to him!
Lord, thank you for paying it all and for being the perfect example of humanity!
Movie Monday
I saw a couple of movies this week: Sabotage and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Sabotage
This the latest action movie from Arnold Schwarzenegger. It wasn't too bad. Arnold stayed within himself and his limited acting abilities throughout the movie. There were lots of twists and turns in the plot. There was also a lot of blod and guts so avoid this movie if you are squeamish.
I give this movie two bear paws. Probably better as a rental. No real need to see it on the big screen.
The Grand Budapest Hotel
This was a very odd movie with lots of stars in it. Very odd, did I mention that? hahaha It was about a hotel concierge that was very widely known, mostly with the older ladies. It had a lot of twists and turns. Some very cute parts. Some very odd parts. There were also some quick sexual scenes. Very odd movie.
I give this two bear paws. There is some beautiful scenery. That is probably the only reason to see it on the big screen. I think it is better served as a rental!
