Our Daily Bread
I was taught many years ago to write "For deposit only" on the back of a check before cashing it as a theft deterrent. Even if the check has your signature on it, it cannot be cashed, only deposited.
While reading the devotional today, I thought of a metaphor shared with me by a coworker. He said that work relationships (and others) can be like bank accounts. We make deposits. We make withdrawals. Sometimes we overdraw an account and can never get in the black again! That is the point of the devotional. "For deposit only" should be our motto with our tongues. Speak with love and wisdom. Love unceasingly. May the Lord be with us!
Technology Thursday
SONICable
A new product came out recently that promises to charge your phone, tablet or other device faster than other charging cables. It is called SONICable.
It is different from other cables because of the on/off switch near the end plug. That on/off switch tells the cable to use the fast charge mode or to not. Using the fast charge mode really does charge your devices faster in the tests I did. It does so by turning off the "synching" part of the connection to the phone, tablet, etc. This is great when you have a wall charger or charging stations that doesn't need to sync the device to a computer.
Here is the web site for this puppy. Check it out.
