Our Daily Bread
I had friends in college that dreamed of being the pastor of a large Southern Baptist church in the South that had thousands of members. Others dreamed of being sought after evangelists that spoke to tens of thousands like Billy Graham and won hundreds to Christ each night. Others had modest goals -- to serve God wherever He put them!
Not many of us get to serve God in BIG ways like big churches or stadiums or TV shows. God doesn't call every one of us to do that kind of thing. God does call each of us to serve others each and every day in whatever way He leads. There are lots of things he tells us if we just listen. A kind word. A phone call. An email. A message on Facebook. LOTS of way! Can we agree to pray for each other and try to serve God in some small way today?
Lord, you give us so many opportunities to touch the lives of others for you. Please help us be sensitive to your leading and be brave!
Technology Thursday
So you have to buy a new PC or laptop. Almost all of them have Windows 8 on them now. Haven't looked at Windows 8? Oh boy! Take a look at the article below. It is a little complicated, but the result is a much more familiar interface than the native Windows 8 "touch screen" interface.
How to Make Windows 8 Look and Feel Like Windows 7
Step 1: Swap the Start screen for a Start menu
Step 2: Install the Windows 7 Aero theme
Step 3: Add an Aero glass effect to window title bars
Step 4: Skip the lock screen
Step 5: Run Windows 8 style apps in Desktop mode
