Danger, Will Robinson!

Our Daily Bread
I may have used this reference before since it is a favorite from my childhood.  The TV show Lost in Space had a robot that had one very famous line "Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!".  You always knew something bad could happen if the robot started flailing his robot arms and chanted those words!

The Old Testament can be like that for us today.  We can see the journey of a people with God.  The devotional talks about how the stories of faithfulness and unfaithfulness affect the lives of these folks and their relationship with God.  Sin and disobedience means separation from the perfect God who created us.

I have studied the Old Testament a lot the past few years.  I am always amazed and encouraged at how God can use ordinary folks who make themselves available to God.  There is story after story that should encourage us today to be who we can be for God.

Lord, thank you for the history that we can learn from today. Please help us always seek you and follow your ways instead of our own!

Technology Thursday
BlackBerry Z10
BlackBerry, formerly known as Research in Motion (RIM), released their new BBOS10 devices this week in the US.  They released it in the UK and Canada several weeks ago to mixed reviews.  The new touch screen device runs the QNX based BlackBerry Operating System (BBOS) 10.  This OS is light years ahead of the old BlackBerry operating systems!  It is very advanced for a smartphone with many features that aren't available on an iPhone or Android device.  There are some differences in how the new interface works, such as swiping from the black area around the screen and getting different behavior if you pause your touch before swiping.  ATT is takig pre-orders now for $199 with a new two year contract.  Check out the cool new features here.

If you prefer the BlackBerry with a physical keyboard, the Q10 will be out in the next month or two.
